Who we are
GP Plastering, 79 Victoria Road, Bournemouth BH1 4RT. Contact: 07599 729326 or gp.plastering.bmth@gmail.com. We are the data controller for the information described here.
What we collect
- From the enquiry form: your name, phone number, email if you give one, the type of work, what you tell us about the job, and any photographs you attach.
- From WhatsApp, phone or email: whatever you send us, including photographs of the property.
- From the website itself: anonymous usage statistics — which pages are opened, and roughly where in the country the visit came from. No name, no address, no advertising profile, and nothing that identifies you personally.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, to prepare a quote, to arrange and carry out the work, and to keep a record of what was agreed and what was done. That last one matters if there is ever a question about the job afterwards, and it is also a condition of our insurance.
The lawful basis is that we need the information to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and then to perform it. Where we keep records for insurance or tax, the basis is our legitimate interest and our legal obligations.
Who sees it
Greg, and anyone working on your job who needs to know where to go and what is being done. Our website host, Netlify, stores form submissions on our behalf. Our email provider handles email. Nobody else. We do not sell your details and we do not pass them to marketing companies.
If your job needs a trade we do not cover, we will ask you before passing your details to anyone.
Photographs of your property
Photographs you send are used to quote and to plan the work. Photographs we take on site are used for our own records. We only publish photographs of a completed job on this website or on social media if you have agreed to it — and we do not publish anything that identifies the address or shows personal belongings.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become jobs: deleted within twelve months.
- Completed jobs: six years, which matches the period during which a claim could be brought and the period HMRC requires records to be kept.
- Photographs used in our portfolio: kept until you ask us to remove them.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email gp.plastering.bmth@gmail.com and we will deal with it within one month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies at all. Our visitor statistics are provided by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it records that a page was opened, without storing anything on your device and without following you to any other website. There is no advertising on this site and no advertising profile is built. That is also why you are not asked to accept a cookie banner — there is nothing to accept.
